Rihanna Beating Boon for Diane Sawyer Ratings

sawyer-rihannaRihanna’s multipart interview with ABC News is expected to be a big ratings boost for the networks morning news show, Good Morning America. The first part will air on Thursday the 5th of November.
Diane Sawyer’s producers are said to be ecstatic about the airing of the interviews since it will take attention away from Sawyers obviously deteriorating looks. At age 63 she really needs some young celebrities on the show. Rihanna is especially a great guest because television audiences are believed to enjoy seeing a young and rich stars fall on hard times—it makes them feel good about their own misery. And Rihanna having been beaten by her rich boyfriend is twice as satisfying since the audience gets to hear about two celebrities with problems.

The interview, a “big get” as they’re called in TV parlance, was in the works for months, the source said. (nydailynews.com)

Rihanna is reported to have said that if this can happen to her then it can happen to anyone. She figured all this out on her own folks. Up until she was attacked by her, then boyfriend, Chris Brown she thought she was immune to human violence.

Note: I know what you people are going to say. But I refuse to believe that the timing of the interview has anything to do with the impending release of her new album. How dare you accuse her of manipulating public sentiment to sell more records?

Like i’d really go out and by an album just cause they’ve fallen on “hard times”. If it’s really that bad, and their struggling for money- go out and get a real job!

Maybe like going out and getting a job learning to spell…

I like her music, and I think by “hard times” they mean the abuse by her boyfriend, which is an all-too-real “hard time” experienced by far to many women, and men, in this world.
I feel for her, and if she does have a new album out soon, good for her. If you have such a problem with this interview, don’t watch it.

You mean there are (or “their”, if it’s easier to understand) listening and viewing choices? I never got the memo. All the kvetching going on is interesting testimony to the freedoms we desecrate.
