Even more digital!

Director, James Cameron, has announced that he will start work on the remake of Avatar in early 2012. In a press conference in Los Angeles, earlier today, Mr. Cameron revealed his plans to remake his blockbuster movie from this past winter. This is on top of the re-release of the movie, announced earlier this month, which is going to happen this summer to take advantage of the summer movie season. The remake of Avatar is going to make the original “look like a cartoon,” said Mr. Cameron.

“Instead of using digitally generated characters based on human performers, we are going to use digitally generated characters based on state-of-the-art life-like robots, which are in turn going to be modeled and programmed after live performers,” said the iconic director.

The preliminary figures put the estimated cost of the production at half a trillion dollars. This is due to the fact that the robotic technology necessary to make this vision a reality is mostly nonexistent.

  1. This seems totally stupid. Why remake it and not even have most of technology needed to make it? Was it even really that great to begin with?

  2. This is the sarcasm society. Obviously you missed something.

  3. You obviously don’t get the point of this site to begin with. Didn’t the title of the website give you a clue that this article is a joke in the first place?!? “The Sarcasmist”. And it’s spelled Anonymous, not “Anomomous”.

  4. If I was that stupid, I’d remain anonymous also!

  5. hahaha fail.

  6. oh wow, Oxford Dictionary called! they’re adding anonomous as a possible regional spelling on the planet douche… Mr Cameron called too, he said they’re remaking the movie specifically for citizens of planet douche who now walk among us :)

  7. Maybe ‘Anonomous’ was being sarcastic too?

  8. what is this i don’t even

  9. successful troll is successful

  10. Blasphemy! I say the accuracy of this article and it’s sources are impecable. Clearly there is no satyre, thus “Anonomous” point still stands! We need plenty of activists to stand behind this latest outrage by Mr. Cameron, as CLEARLY the robots are intended not to play a part in a movie but rather to take over the world and enslave humanity, thus providing the plot for another James Camaron Movie! WHO’S WITH ME!?!?!?
