Have your brain surgery Tweeted
Houston’s Memorial Hermann hospital has joined the technological revolution offering a live Twitter feed of a brain surgery being performed by Dr. Dong Kim.
People can follow the surgery with step-by-step tweets, and twitpics and ask questions to the surgical team by following @houstonhospital and #MHbrain. The surgery started at 10:00am and will continue for a few hours.
If this seems idiotic to you, you are not alone. I felt the same way when I found out about this a little while ago–Twitter is so passé, it’s all about Pinterest now.
