Abercrombie & Fitch offers Jersey Shore cast money to stop wearing its clothes

Written by The Sarcasmist on August 17, 2011 - Comments (10)

It is unheard of for a company to pay to not get publicity, but sooner or later anything that seems impossible comes to pass. In this instance, Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) is “deeply concerned” that if The Situation (Michael Sorrentino) continues wearing A&F clothing on the TV show, Jersey Shores, that the brand’s “aspirational nature” could suffer significant damage.

This is odd because not too long ago A&F was selling t-shirts with the words “The Fichuation” on them. A&F must have finally realized that having an almost 30-year-old greased up punk representing their brand isn’t as desirable as say a barely legal and innocent-looking natural blonde, or a half naked man-child.

  1. Good idea, unless you like being know as the clothes line that the douchebag from jersey shore wears

  2. Eh, makes sense to me. The only problem is that the people who actually like the Situation might have bought there products. But I guess there aren’t as many of those kind of people who really can’t stand the situation.

  3. What are they going to do about the other 8 million douchey ‘bros’ wearing A&F?

  4. I’m suprised they still have customers, Abercrombie has became so lame to be caught wearing anyways. Hollister and AE have completely taken them over. Let Mikey have them, its basically the only type of customer they have left.

    • you do know Hollister is own by the same company as A&F. Just like old navy/gap/BR is own by the same company.

  5. Now if we can get mother earth to pay them to not breathe her air we may be onto something…..

As for the A&F haters, different strokes for different folks. I’ve liked A&F since the early 90′s when I first happened upon one of their stores during a long summer trip across country. I know many of my friends (and myself) still very much like their line but not one of us likes the Jersey Shore D-bags. When we wear A&F it’s because we like the clothes not because anybody who gives themselves some idiotic nicknames sports them.

PS anybody who thinks that any one brand of clothes is ‘lame’ compared to another is probably the same kind of trendy tool that got the JS cast another season in the first place. ‘Lame’ is the call sign of trendy d-bags everywhere.

  6. SeriouslyCereal

The situation should go back to wearing sexy turtle necks.
