The Term ‘Oh Brother’ to Be Banned!

obama-bunk

Looks like he was still thinking about dunking a basketball.

After President Obama’s shameful display of sexism, when he deliberately excluded women from his basketball games, Congress has taken matters into its own hands and introduced a series of bills as the first step to eliminating offense caused by blatant sexism. The first of these bills will outlaw the phrase ‘Oh Brother’, as having extremely sexist overtones. In its stead, the new term to be substituted for ‘Oh Brother’ will be ‘Oh Sibling’. This came to pass after a lengthy debate which resulted in exclusion of other noteworthy options such as ‘Oh for the love of God’ (this option was quickly shot down as it was deemed to be too offensive to atheists).

To assuage the tide of ill will from women across the World, President Obama forced himself to overcome his obvious sexism and play a round of golf with a Melody Barnes, his chief domestic policy adviser; however, in a chauvinistic slip, his golf foursome was comprised of two other men as well.

“I gotta say, I think this is bunk. Basically, the House of Representatives has a basketball game and they had wanted to play here at the White House court and we invited them.

“I don’t know if there are women who— were Members of Congress who play basketball on a regular basis. I don’t think there are. You know, I don’t think it sends any kind of message or signal whatsoever,” he said to Savannah Guthrie of NBC News

It is also suspected that President Obama picked Hillary Clinton as secretary of state simply because she tends to wear a pants suit and would fit in better with all the men.

The correct spelling here is ‘writing,’ and its not done by the President. Congress writes bills. More importantly, they are not serious about the bill, hence the term ’sarcasm.’ They are referring to accusations that President Obama is sexist, despite the fact that in his first year, he has appointed more women to his Cabinet and Cabinet-level positions than any president before him. Educate yourselves, people!

Yes, it is sexist to exclude women from playing a friendly basket ball match. But for the love of god when does it stop? Will their reach a point where baa baa black sheep will be banned and replaced with noise of an unspecific animal with no distinct reference to the colour of the creature? Oh brother, some times things are taken to far. next thing they’ll have to say aperson instead of amen, calling a ship ’she, or her’ will be in the drink, and we’ll all have to stop speaking for the irrational fear of possibly insulting others.
Yes sexism is bad, yes their is still inequality, but simple phrases are not the cause in truth they are barely a factor in this issue. The issue is the role models of society who both consciously and subconsciously demote women. wearing pants in deed, you’d think being of a culture once surrounded by racism he’d be a little more open when it comes to including others! i’d love to have a chat to him!

i would love to chat with him too and tell him how stupid he is for every little detail he is trying to ban or whatever… he needs to focus on the bigger issues… not a freakin basketball game with no women.. also women dont play basketball with men usually bc men are more rough players than women are.

The Sarcasmist (or any blogger/journalist for that matter) could write an article saying that Obama kills and consumes a dozen infants every morning just for fun, and an extremely large portion of America would instantly become outraged and overcome with horror and dismay. They would say things like “That’s disgusting and wrong beyond comprehension… but that’s what you get with a liberal socialist president.” Or “I always knew he was capable of stuff like that. Glad I didn’t vote for him!” They would create Facebook groups: “Petition Our Evil President Obama to Stop Eating Innocent Little Babies!” And Michael Steele would distribute fund raising material explaining how the only way to save the babies is to give a generous ‘gift’ of $100 to the Republican Party.

Fox News would run a ridiculously over-the-top breaking news story about the president’s hobby of cannibalizing babies and invite roughly 892 Republican Party strategists and conservative writers to participate in a panel to assess just HOW WRONG eating babies is, especially for a leader of such a great nation. Then they would make obvious connections between munching on newborns to liberal ideology.

Once the original poster of the false/satirical/sarcastic comes out publicly and says “Hey guys, it was just a joke. I thought that was apparent,” THEN the media will admit they were wrong, but only to the extent of journalistic standards, not any general sense of decency or ethics. And Rush Limbaugh will say (as he has before) that sure, he helped spread a completely falsified rumor, but the essence of it was accurate. Since Obama -could- eat babies. And is a Marxist African Manchurian candidate.

This is funny… people get offended by things that are not even real. We need this like we need the NAACP while their is a black President. Everyone needs to get over themselves. Women are equal in America. Black people are equal in America. Many, many, many people lived and died so that this could happen, so don’t disrespect them by acting liek a bunch of prissy little wusses. George Washington would kick your arse if he saw how the country that him and the Continental Army fought to free turned out.

“We need this like we need the NAACP while their is a black President.”
If you’re American, it’s your President too. Not just ‘theirs.’

What, he’s “a Black?” I was always hung up over the middle name thing. What was his middle name, Stalin or Mao or something? I keep forgetting who the bad guys are in this decade.

Also, I found it funny the way you phrased “Women are equal in America. Black people are equal in America.” Doesn’t an equality need the other side to be comparative? Equal to what?
