What most detractors and Apple haters are calling a bicycle is in fact the most revolutionary offering since the iPad. The iPed is Apples first foray into the ‘green’ market, and Steve Jobs has yet again been able to lead the development of a product that is going to be as ubiquitous as the mobile phone or Starbucks.
The revolutionary iPed enables the owner to use stored energy attained from food, and food-like substances to power the vehicle and go virtually anywhere (given enough time). Some quotes from early testers which consisted mainly of ‘Early Adopters’ (Apple fanboys) are raving about the upcoming release.
“It’s like riding on air…air that has been encased in a rubber tube.” –John Volker
“The interface is extremely intuitive. You just turn the wheel in the direction you want it to go, and bam, you are moving in that very direction!” –Nicole Whistler
“I can travel in a seated position. Pedaling to my destination is a minor price to pay for the comfort of being seated.” –Robert Price (Segway owner)
No pricing has been set but technology experts expect to see a price of $2499.00 for the 20GB version, which will allow the owner to stream up to 300 hours of music. The power for the media capabilities for the iPed is provided by the generator which is said to increase the effort necessary to propel the iPed forward by only 80%.

I’m going to hold off for a bit. I heard Apple will be releasing an iPed with Dynamic Motion Stabilisers and a Bell in January 2011.
i have one of these but its made by microsoft, does wtice as much and costs half the price….just like my zune
Lol until that red rings and you have to buy a new one.
This is so revolutionary, it could replace even the bicycle. After all, who rides a bicycle these days?
This is so good for the green movement.. What Will They Think Of Next..
Nah, too expensive for my taste. I’ll probably end up getting the iPed Nano, which bears a strange resemblance to my old roller blades. But hey, it’s from apple so it must be cool!
l got my hopes up cuz l thought this was gonna be the new way to castrate child sex offenders.
Ha awsomely funny.
Just like the usb port on the ipad, the seat, handlebars and valve stems will require seperate adaptors. 39.95 each at the apple store. And you cant inflate the tires yourself, you have to call a tech.
Sadly, I can see them actually doing this.
Waiting for the iT-800.
Early Adopters are also raving about the black Jobs-neck shirt that you wear when riding it. These are available for $49.95 at the Apple Store in sizes “waif” and “low BMI.”
I’ve heard the inside dope…that they are also releasing the spring loaded side stand on their app store for true i-ped lovers, worldwide…who just can’t let it lie on the ground while they aren’t around!!! ..Gosh I am so relieved, Finally!
This is pretty trendy, I’m getting three
I love iPed it’s inspiring and aspirational for every social activist…
I have been inspired to come up with MyPed, a social media driven next gen commutation platform.
“It is the Green Revolution of automobiles.” said Steven Johnson :D
To paraphrase the the great and powerful Wizard of OZ… The IPed will never be practical until it can be made unwreckable… I’m waiting until they come out with the IPed 3G — 3 wheels for maximum stability!
