Obama – Money Alone Will Not Solve Education Problems
Firm grasp of the obvious
On Monday morning’s Today show, President Obama revealed that he is of the school that money alone will not be able to solve our nations educational problems.
The president also said that though per-student spending has gone up in the country, student performance has gone down, which shows that “money without reform will not fix the problem.” (Yahoo!)
A very wise statement indeed. As Americans, we can’t just expect to throw money at a problem and expect to solve it. Just because it worked with the war on terror, it doesn’t mean it will work with education or healthcare.
Sorry Obama.
What would you know about the school system? Eh. I went through it. It’s very difficult even if you’re a logical individual; your curriculum is the problem. Once you start teaching children what they actually need to know, you’d see improvement.
That might be true but what you are failing to see is that no matter what you are supposed to be teaching (or learning) a stupid child wont learn either way.
