Successful Women in Greater Risk of Being Unhappy
Being progressive seems to not be without cost for women. A recent study shows that men who earn less than their female partner are more likely to cheat.
The study found that men who are financially dependent on their wives or girlfriends are five times more likely to cheat. Women who made much less than their male partners were less likely to cheat. (CBS)
What does this tell us? If you are a misogynist, this of course is proof that a woman’s place is in the home, specifically in the kitchen (ideally barefoot and pregnant). If you are a feminist, this is yet another example that proves men are nothing but selfish animals.
Further finding by the study suggest that men who make a lot more than their female partner also have a tendency to cheat more. It turns out that the sweet spot is when the man makes only 25 percent more—these are the most faithful of men.
So ladies, when you are looking for a mate, make sure that you keep these findings in mind–you don’t want to be more than 75% as successful as your man. You can’t always have your pie, and have it eaten too, unless of course you are the mistress.
This is true! How many times does some pathetic excuse for a male counterpart whine ‘She makes me feel like less of a man’…..or my favorite: ‘She’s so busy that she never makes time for me!’????? WTF? Now we’re demonized for laying down and maintaining a secure financial foundation? Yet if we turn a fella down because he’s NOT in our income/educational bracket, we’re ‘superficial’ and ‘materialistic’. [sigh].
So what you’re saying is that rich men and women alike are shallow fat cats? Boy, I had no idea money makes a lot of people lose their regard for humanity.
That may in fact be a sad excuse for a male.. cause that sounds like the perfect woman to me… rich and busy. Don’t worry baby, I’m not porking the maid, I swear..
Except for a rare few.. monogamy is like a fairy tale. I think its like a speed limit sign, which is a law, but seen as more of a suggestion.

About this one: ” men who are financially dependent on their wives or girlfriends are five times more likely to cheat.” Of course they would they need the blind admiration of younger girls(if they are smart they will cheat with married women and have less implications but it will not be the same)and the rush of the mind and body domination or just to feel precious again, make a woman shiver with pleasure, feel the intoxicating power ah the fragility etc (important stuff) and maybe their wives are working all day long and they are not in love with their job, never had ambitions, personal dreams or life? They just have a job that gives them the money they need in order to have food, have sex, have fun and a home and a car too. Oh well long story but that was some fast, superficial thoughts:) and I can continue but eh etc etc et:c). . .:)
about the women, women probably can hide their extramarital affairs better or they think, believe home is where the money is? Eh:p :)

Maybe we should be honest with ourselves and accept polygmy and polygny as a way to live. Many people just don’t want to be with one person for the rest of their lives.
Boy, you got that right…especially when hair starts growing out of his ears…and his eyebrows are all over the place…and have you ever noticed how mens’ noses spread?
If we truly had to be honest with ourselves, we should just admit that most human relationships are meaningless, shallow and above all unwanted. This is not due to some human nature, this is because dumb people cannot live together for long periods of time. The other person’s ignorance becomes annoying due to one’s own ignorance. A lot of reality tv shows try to mimick this process by putting a bunch of idiots together in a small environment, wherein the bonding process -and thus the rate of irritability- is sped up by challenges that require teamwork.
So, fuzzysheep, reality shows are providing a service?
I guess you could call it a service to cynics like myself. Proof of the awful state society is in, and of course, laughs.
Personally it all comes down to the initial meeting of two people . if on a first date they discuss finance there are sussing eachother out for right of power, you earn to the level of experience/quality that you possess surely it should be reversed if one meets a high earner surely the attraction should be to the winning qualities of the person , not a struggle of power to whose name the house is under. one could go in circles all day talking about this, but personally we are not mature enough as human adults if the sexes are still battling on over pieces of paper in a leather wallet, someone mentioned humanity above, thats a laugh , humanity can be explained better by dogs than humans, with them being , loving, caring, social, and willing to share territory when new animals are introduced, at the moment the world is full of hairless apes with darwins survival of the fittest policy to be at the top , lastly , couples should not be couples if they cant bear to be forever bettered by their partner.
So, if I am polyandrous does that mean I can’t be more successful than 75% of my husbands?
It all boils down to whether the man has too much time on his hands. People are focusing on the wrong reasoning. No, it’s not that men who earn less feel emasculated by their women. It’s not that men who earn more are on a power trip (although there is some truth to this). It’s that a man who lets his wife support him has too much free time, and a man who makes a lot more money spends too much time at work. There has to be a balance between career and family for both partners, male and female, for the marriage to work. If it means that the homemaking spouse needs to get a job, or that the workaholic spouse needs to cut back on hours (and, as a result, the income) then that’s what should be done. If both partners aren’t focused on the family, there is no family.
You made a mistake by mentioning marriage. That is ridiculous by default.
Women are nothing but whores and belong at home cleaning. Worlds worst mistake was making men and women equal. Repeal universal suffrage.
Why does holding that opinion make me a misogynist? I thought it just made me celebate…at least here in america.
