It should be no news at this point that Ozzy Osborne and his wife, Sharon, had an IRS bill worth $1.7 million. The news surfaced about a week ago. The bill also resulted in a lien being placed on the British couple’s Los Angeles area home.

“At 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon I received a phone call from my publicist who had a reporter on the other line informing her that the IRS had just put a lien on one of our properties,” [Sharon] Osbourne said in a statement released to gossip writer Perez Hilton. She linked to it from her Twitter feed. (Reuters)

This is why we were able to defeat the British empire by throwing their tea into the ocean–they are too damn civilized. Even Ozzy, whose brain is fried from years of drug abuse, has the sense to just pay the taxes he owes without dragging things out into court, and ending up with a jail sentence. These people need to learn how to act like real celebrities. Ozzy and Sharon could learn a thing or two from Lindsay Lohan; now, that is some good American style celebrity entertainment.
