First US Offshore Wind Farm Not Good for Prayer

Written by The Sarcasmist on April 28, 2010 - Comments (15)

That’s it folks, the natural beauty of our seascape will be forever destroyed, and we will have to look upon disgusting-looking wind turbines instead of the pristine waters and undisturbed view of the horizon and skies. But of course there is always someone who is going to complain.

“Native Americans in Massachusetts have argued the turbine blades would desecrate the view of the sunrise that is essential to their prayer ceremonies.” (BBC)

I guess it’s much better to have oil rigs exploding and causing massive oil spills which have to be set on fire in order to reduce the damage to the environment.

  1. Lol: Native American prayers have no valid argument, since they are pagans and pray to false gods. Have them converted or suggest praying at noon.

  2. I’d like to be the first to say “SnaggleBerries”.

  3. How dare they get in the way of reducing pollution. I guess that “Native American” with the teary eyes wasn’t a part of that tribe.

  4. No, no, no… you people are missing the point… Prayer, in Native American culture, is what you do before you put the coins in the machine, on into the chips that you can’t afford for the poker game… Dawn is usually at high tide… How else does the casino ship get off the Anti-Gambiling shore?

  5. the worst part is that these indians arent taking the oportunity to build a casino or dispensiary next to the new windmills!

  6. Everyone is missing the point! Think of all the birds that’ll be killed!

  7. Those windmills might cause a shift in the ocean’s currents, and then we will go into the next ice age! AHH!

  8. Nice to see there is absolutely no prejudice what-so-ever against the Native people of this country. Your religious and racial tolerance is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

    • Say it with me

Sar- casm… now… look at the top of the page. Once you have done that, go google the word.

I know the concept is difficult, but that’s okay, you’ll get it, sport.
