Tasers may cause cardiac arrest

Written by The Sarcasmist on May 3, 2012 - Comments (1)

In a new study, researchers are surprised by the results they found. It turns out that delivering an electric shock to the chest of a person can lead to cardiac arrest. Who would have guessed?!

If you are unfamiliar with the Taser, it is a hand-held tool, used by law enforcement across the World, which delivers an electric shock (in some cases) as high at 500,000 volts.

In response to the study a spokesman for Taser, Steve Tuttle, said that their devices pose less risk to civilians than firearms and are safer for police to use than a physical altercation to subdue someone. And I have to agree with Mr. Tuttle, it is much better to be Tasered and only potentially die of a cardiac arrest, than to be shot in the face and die for sure.

  1. I think some experiments should be conducted to verify this, and you should be the test subject. Hopefully it’ll be proved to be correct.
