Stupid Ice-Skating Bears!
Apparently a bear which had been trained to skate on the ice for the amusement of the Russian circus-going public has mauled and killed its manager (trainer).
Ungrateful bear! The guy took you in and gave you ice-skates; what more do you want?!
The bear, who had skates on at the time, severely mauled another circus worker who tried to rescue the manager.
Kyrgyz police shot and killed the bear when they arrived on the scene. It is not clear what caused the attack. (BBC)
I’m going to postulate that maybe the bear really didn’t feel like ice-skating, and after his repeated growls of discontent went unheeded, he took matters into his own hands. But I could be wrong, I’ve never met a Russian bear; for all I know, they might really enjoy ice-skating, just like our dogs here in the U.S. that really enjoy getting manicures (or is it pedicures) and eating designer doggie cookies.
Hopefully the Russian circuses will pick less dangerous animals like a great white or a T-Rex.

…and then the bear hit Nancy Kerrigan in the shins with a stick.
Come on..when you work with wile animals what do you expect..bears and ice skates..maul worthy.
